Workpack Generation and Optimisation
Based on the recommended steel renewals from the inspection company FSC managed the preparation of detailed repair worksheets for each repairable anomaly. Detailed drafting of the significant volume of repairs was subcontracted to a 3rd party supplier.
Following the completion of FMECA assessments, the compiled workpacks were then updated to remove the repairs that had been excluded by the FMECA.
By preparing the complete scope of work prior to optimisation the full extent of the required repairs was established. This provided a baseline "Worst Case" steelweight, but also ensured that had any of the anomalies deteriorated to the point that the shipyard class surveyors felt they needed to be repaired, the repair worksheet could be re-activated and repair executed without waiting for the document to be prepared.
